disappointment

it is such a discouragement that the person who asked me to blog persistently do not do so himself despite gentle reminders

it is so discouraging

it makes me wonder what kind of team we are - if we are even one in the first place

i think we are not together in spirit at all

heart for people for the lord or for what?

i cannot see his heart for people or the lord anymore

his heart has grown cold- so cold that i find it scary because it is like a walking corpse

someone who is just breathing and working - not living with passion

he has become a replica of his dad who only worked and existed solitarily on an island - not interacting with anybody but his newspaper

for him it is work and the computer screen

i walk this path alone with jesus

my soul mate is no more

i only have my saviour - lover of my soul

so lonely yet not alone

as we age, we learn to walk alone

walk the path that we have chosen

knowing that the shepherd of our soul walks with us

i love you jesus

thank you for loving me and giving all for me

amen

Jehovah Sabaoth - Lord of Hosts

Heavenly host refers to an army (Luk.2:13; Rev.19:19) of good angels mentioned in the Bible.

It is led either by the Archangel Michael, Jesus, or by God Himself.

Most descriptions of angels in the Bible describe them in military terms, such as encampment (Gen.32:1-2), command structure (Ps.91:11-12; Matt.13:41; Rev.7:2), and combat (Jdg.5:20; Job 19:12; Rev.12:7).

Encampment
So Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. 2 When Jacob saw them, he said, “This is God’s camp.
Genesis 32:1

Command structure

Ps 91:11

For He shall give His angels charge over you,To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

Matthew 13:31
The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Revl 7:2

Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”

Combat

Judges 5:20

They fought from the heavens; The stars from their courses fought against Sisera.

Job 19:12
His troops come togetherAnd build up their road against me;They encamp all around my tent.

Revelation 12:7
And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them[a] in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

jehovah shammah - with us everywhere

i wonder what's the purpose of writing a blog when there's no comments

for my own record purpose i guess

JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH"The One Who is with us everywhere for He is Omnipresent" -

Ezk 48:35
35 All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.”[b]

Isaiah 60:19-20
19 “ The sun shall no longer be your light by day,
Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you;
But the LORD will be to you an everlasting light,

Nor shall your moon withdraw itself;
For the LORD will be your everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning shall be ended.

Rvl 21:3

3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

What is Jehovah Shammah to us

remember that in the olden days, men needed to offer sacrifices to enter the temple. only the levites could enter into the holy of holies?

now this tabernacle is with us!!

my heart swells with joy and gratefulness as i ponder over this fact.

let my house be a tabernacle for god.

let god be with my husband children and me

JEHOVAH-SHALOM

shalom means peace

there are 2 meanings to it

peace - god is our peace. he gives us peace

in the old testament the peace offering is much talked about in Leviticus

people had appease the lord's displeasure by offering peace offerings

now in new testament time we do not need to offer peace offerings anymore cos jesus had died on the cross

how do i respond to this?

have i forgotten that jesus had made peace for us?

does my heart overwhelm with gratitude?

let me give thanks for the peace offering!!

2nd kind of peace

Is 48:18

Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

Mal 2:5

My covenant was with him, one of life and peace

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Rom 14:17
the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Gal 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

In the old testament, peace is often used as an adjective to describe the type of offering.

peace is something that we want to give god so that we can approach him

in the new testamnt, peace is often used as a noun.

peace has become something that god gives us.

peace has become fruit of the spirit and a quality in our lives that god has given us.

the meaning of peace is different in the old and new testament

Peace to appease god
Peace to bless man

the above sums up my bible study

jehovah jireh - he provides!

it is so exciting to discover and be reminded of what the lord wants to give and provide for his children

there is so much!

from wealth to undestanding to strength... the lord gives

but are we positioned to receive?

the lord is waiting to pour his blessings into our lives but are we ready with open hearts and minds and hands to receive?

many times our minds and hands are simply too occupied to receive the blesings of god.

we have filled our lives with our own agenda and god has NO room to move

god i pray for myself and my family that we will empty our hearts and minds so that your blessings will fill us!!

jehovah jireh our provider

blessed be your name

let our lives be a testimon of your goodness to us

amen

Jehovan names of god

god i want to know you more as i study these 8 redemptive nams

deepen my understanding of you so that i may know you the way i am known by you

i pray that you will deepen my knowledge of you so that i may pass all these to the next generation

let me be like ruth and esther that i may be a woman of god and of faith.

god i put my life into your hands and i pray that you use me and guide me all the days of my life

Eight Redemptive Names of God

JEHOVAH-JIREH

"The Lord our provider" - This is also the name Abraham gave to the place where the Lord provided a sacrifice in place of Isaac. (Gen. 22:14).

JEHOVAH-NISSI

"Our banner, a banner of love and protection" - Also the name Moses gave to the altar he built after defeating the Amalekites (Ex. 17:15).

JEHOVAH-SHALOM

"Our perfect peace" - Also the name Gideon gave to the altar he built at Ophrah (Judges 6:24)

JEHOVAH-TSID-KENU

"The Lord is our righteousness" - The name is applied to a future Davidic king who would lead his people to do what is right and thus bring peace (Jeremiah 23:6) and to the restored city of Jerusalem (Jeremiah 33:16). The name is possibly a play on the name of Zedekiah ("Righteous [is] the Lord") who reigned from 597 to 587 B.C..

JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH

"The One Who is with us everywhere for He is Omnipresent" - The Jerusalem of Ezekiel's vision (see Ezekiel 48:35 margin) was known by this name. Compare text at Isaiah 60:19-20 and Revelation 21:3.

JEHOVAH-SABAOTH

"The Lord of Hosts, our Protector." C.H. Spurgeon said this about the phrase "The Lord of Hosts:

The Lord rules the angels, the stars, the elements, and all the hosts of Heaven; and the Heaven of heavens is under His sway... [the Lord] is on our side -- our august Ally; woe unto those who fight against Him, for they shall flee like smoke before the wind when He gives the word to scatter them."

See text at Psalm 46:7.

JEHOVAH-RAAH

"Our Shepherd Who tenderly leads us, loves us and will keep us safe." - the famous Psalm 23 tells us that "The Lord is our Shepherd and we shall not want...." Being illustrated as a shepherd implies a relationship with His sheep (His believers). The term shepherd appears approximately 80 times in the Scriptures, denotating meanings of: feeder, keeper, companion, friend, pastor and herdsman.

JEHOVAH RAPHA –

"I am the Lord Your Physician or I am the Lord Your Healer - this name especially was a Name God prophetically spoke about Himself, not one that someone gave Him. Exodus 15:26.

Holman Bible Dictionary and the book All the Divine Names And Titles In The Bible by Herbert Lockyer used as source for certain material.

God's grace (Trinity CC)

Full of grace

Jonah 4:2

So he prayed to the LORD, and said, “Ah, LORD, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.

1 Chr 21
Please let me fall into the hand of the LORD, for His mercies are very great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man.”

Sustaining grace

1pet 5:10

But may[d] the God of all grace, who called us[e] to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

2 cor 9

6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

heb 4:16

16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Effects of god's grace

perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

prayer of gifts of holy spirit

dear god

i pray that you will give josef the gift of faith. he has no faith now and i ask that you revive him in the name of jesus.

as he reads your word daily and goes to church weekly, i pray that you will revive him spiritually. let him have a powerful and intimate relationship with you once again.

let josef see you working powerfully in his studies. open his eyes that he may see god moving in his life.

god i pray that you will use many christian brothers to encourage him on in his faith. bring in friends who will edify him and grow together in the knowledge of god.

god i pray that you will bless him in his studies. bless him with joy when learning, bless him with wisdom on how to study, to study the relevant things and be able to apply them in his exams.

let his mind be sharp and analytical.

god lead josef to the most appropriate secondary school just like the way you lead the sheep along the green pastures. lead him dear lord and show ph and i the way to go

you are our shepherd and put our lives in your hand

god i pray for deborah that you will give her the gift of praying in tongues. she has asked for this on her birthday. shse has asked not for toys or clothes but for your spiritual gift.

i pray that you will bless her as a doing father would

fill her up with your holy spirit and let her see you

let her know and love you

i pray that 1 chronicles 4:9 will be true in her life that you will keep deborah from evil. not only that enlarge her territory and bless her

“Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!”

god i pray that josef will love and honour god with all his life and you will also keep him from evil. enlarge her territory and keep him from evil

i pray for matthias that he will be filled with the love and gentleness of god. let him understand obedience toward parents.

fill him with the wondernment of your creation.

amen

gifts of knowledge

1 Cor 128To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,a and to still another the interpretation of tongues.b 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

ThoughtsGifts
message of wisdom
message of knowledge
faith
healing
miraculous power
prophecy
distinguishing between spirit
speaking in different tongues
interpretation of tongues

Ephesians 4:11It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

ThoughtsPastor talked about praying for aposolic faith. seems that apostle is the first on the list here, above prophets , evangelists pastors and teachers in the hierachy.

the gifts of the holy spirit is to prepare god's people for works of service

they are to build up god's peop;le until we are united in the faith and knowledge of the son of god

the ultimate goal of using the gifts is to achieve the fullness of christ in us

pray for the power of the holy spirit 1

god anoint my family and i with the holy spirit , that our lives may reflect the power of the holy spirit

fill us up so that we may be witnesses for you in our schools and lives.

lord teach and help us to know nothing except jesus and his cruxifixion. teach us what it means to be totally dependant on you so that the holy spirit may flow.

god when power comes upon us, lead us on to deliver those trapped by the devil and heal the sick and blind.

god i pray for my family that they will experience a spiritual revival this year 2012

let them see dreams and vision,,let them see god

god speak to ph and i about the vision for 2012

amen

power of holy spirit 1

Acts 1:8

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Thouughts
Power comes when the holy spirit comes upon us

the expected outcome is to witness christ

Acts 10:38
The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all— 37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Thoughts
god anointed jesus with the holy spirit

when the hs comes, there is power ( similar to 1)

thus we should pray that god anoint us with the holy spirit

having been anointed, jesus went to heal all oppressed by the devil and he also did good

1 Cor 2

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony[a] of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human[b] wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Thoughts

attitude to be filled with hs: i determined not to know anything except jesus and his crucifixion

a total dependence on god

1 Thess 1:5
For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

thoughtst
he gospel is the power of the holy spirit.
we must pray with the Word
