god's word to me this morning

But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27 So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

rachael, open your eyes and look clearly at the Lord Jesus whom you are serving! Is he too small in your eyes!

Read and marvel! That even the wind and wave obey him!

WHo is this God that does wonders? How much are you limiting Him, Rachael, when you worry and take everything in your own hands?

Realise today that the Lord is the ALmighty - the one who created the heavens and the earth.

let Him increase and know that He can handle all things in your life.

where he has led you to enter, he will lead you thru. not just mediocrely but with excellence cos his hand and his eyes are upon you. at you, he looks on with favour.

let your heart not be troubled but leap with joy cos the lord has shown you the rainbow which means "I am with you always".

the theme song for this phase of life is "he's carried me".

how to get grace and glory of god

today the passage talks about jesus healing. if dad in law's children want to pray for his healing, the children should pray for him.

For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. 11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. ps84

we must walk uprightly and the grace and glory of god will be upon our lives. he will also give us all good things.

the house is like a small cage. let there be freedom and joy in it.

refrain from judging and ask god for what you wan

ok we do not judge others cos we are as bad if not worse too. leave the judgement to god.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! 12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

good morning jesus!

my kids and husband have gone to work and school respectively. now it is my turn to work from home.

god spoke to me this morning as i awoke. i shared with him my anxieites on the impending lectures and the verse came to my mindL: be strong and courageous. i am with you all the way.

this is new territory to me and i am apprehensive but god tells me that he will be with me all the way. thank you jesus for the promise/

let's read from the bible. what does god say to me today?

praise god. this is what he has spoken to me.

You Cannot Serve God and Riches 24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

i was asking god about my identity and self worth now that i do not have a job. i do not earn much and it is difficult to say what i perform well in . so where is my self worth?

the lord spoke to me from above verse.

i am a servant and child of god. God is my master. when god is my master, money cannot define who i am. we are appraised by our master, and now the lord jesus christ is my CEO. he is the one i am accountable to in my free lancing.

so it does not matter how much i earn but god's appraisal of me in His eyes.

do not worry.

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

it is so amazing. the living word of god.

i was just sharing with jesus last night too that i need money for my own personal needs. now i have no income coming in cos i am paid on a few months basis, not monthly.

god tells me not to worry! he says that i am of little faith! do not worry cos my heavenly father knows i need all these things.

BUT

seek god and his kingdom first and all the things i need will be added unto me.

my heavenly father tells me not to worry about tomorrow. live in today. god will take care of the future.

amen to that!

i am amazed by the double edge sword of the living word the bible. god uses the word to speak so specifically to me.

thank you god.

dear god, i pray for ernest that you will speak as and even more specifically to him. speak to him about your mission for him, speak to him about your divine and big plans for him. let him have an encounter with you.

i pray that you will bless the work of his hands. that his desire will come true even faster he has planned for cos god hasten the process. not by his might but by god's power. amen.

lift him up like an eagle in the sky. let him soar in the power of your spirit.

take away all sense of condemnation from the devil. enveolope him in your love and acceptance.

break all pride in him too. fill him up with a new humility and broken spirit, that he could be mightily used by you.

prayer for children (health and healing)

i prayed that they will be healthy and specifically be healed from their phelgm and cough.

praise and thank god for healing deborah from hand foot mouth disease a few months ago.

it is the first divine healing that i witnessed. praise god.

prayer for ernest ( his safty)

i prayed for protection against accidents along the road etc. i pray for protection from the evil one and this goes for my whole family too.

i pray that the lord will wire all mathias brain cells and network properly that he will not have any autism, down sysdrome etc. he will be the peffect creation of god. amen.

i pray against short sightedness, that god will take away that gene and give him perfect eye sight.

ai yoh, what i learn from this verse huh? it means that do the right thing even if no one in watching! cos god is watching you!!

what you do in secret, god knows even if no one else does.

so walk always in the fear of god.

what is the prayer concerned about? first, we should be most concerned about god's name and glory. we should be always most concerned about god's glory and name, not ours.

can we come to a point when we really say ' all to god, and none to me"?

dunno what kind of mood i in today. i shall stop expounding the word.

hmm god i ask for a big flat with a large space. one that overlooks the sea. oh god i think baby likes wide space. i was so happy this morning when the morning breeze blew after my swim and there was no one around.

i feel so clutterd in this house. so small so cluttered. too bright. not even curtains around.

well well joesf asked why we sold 414. stil i think it was a wise move cos our renov is nice and new. sell it while it is good. good price too.

but god josef keeps asking me for a nike water bottle and i gave it to him. now i keep asking you for a spacious house which overlooks nature, esp the sea, would you give it to me?

my mood is bad nowadays cos of pregnancy. i really desire for space. i feel like a wild horse even more - a horse which wants to gallop in the plain which no contraints. the clouds above the wind blowing.

this is my feelings nowadays.

so it irritates me a lot to take the slow lift, to hear the noisy construction, to see the glare shining into the house without any respite. to bang into each other's backsides in the kitchen, to squeeze at the dining table, tl walk carefully in my bedroom cos i may step on josef.

it irritates me so. i just desire for the space.

well well god, these are just my feelings. if it is your will for us to stay on of course i can stay on and by your grace and joy, i can do all things.

bless my growing family with a spacious house below our budget and with a great view. nice decor too so we do not need to do much.

matthew chpt 5
jesus talks about love for enenmies etc. the principle that i get is god's standard is very high and we cannot reach it. it is by god's grace that we can enter the kingdom of god.

thank you god for your grace.

proverbs 5 talks so much about adultery too. so does matthew chpt 5. i think this is one area we must lift up in prayer to prevent satan from attacking our family in this area, yes even josef and deborah.

lord jesus i pray for myself, ernest jo and deborah that you will protect us from the snares of adultery. keep us pure and holy in your eyes and prevent us from commiting adultery.

i pray especailly for ernest and josef that they will not lust with their eyes, but they will be filled with self control and look at only what pleases god. let ernest be satisfies with his own cistern of water and let him not commit adultery in his heart. let him be holy before you.

as josef is growing up, i pray that you fill this young man with your righteousness. let him to be like joseph who runs away from temptation though it may bring him some trouble. let him pursue righteousness first above all things.

prayer for ernest and me (affection)

jesus i pray for us that we will openly show our affection with one another. let us not be constrained by asian reservation or shyness but teach us to be open to show love to one another, that the children and outsiders may see the love you have poured in our marriage and all glory goes to you.

teach us jesus to greet each other with a holy kiss and a hug, to kiss each other when we go to work etc.

teach us not to take each other for granted but to treasure the time you have given us.

prayer for children ( obedience to parents and god)

dear jesus, i pray for josef and deborah that they will have a heart and spirit of obedience towards their parents. let them be enveloped in our love for them so that they willingly obey us. they understand that obeying parents who love them will bring only blessings.

i ask too lord that they will honour their parents and as they do so, you will pour blessings into their lives.

thank you that josef and debbie have been very thoughtful and lovely children. josef rubbed my forehead with ointment last night when debbie hit it.

debbie prepared my slippers for me when we were going out.

they are such lovely children adn i thank you that you have blessed them so much.

most of all, i ask taht you teach them to obey you their god and lord. teach them that obedience to god only leads to blessings. teach them dear lord, to obey you out of lvoe for you.

prayer for baby matthias
i pray for the healthy formation of his lungs, airways and heart. let there be no deformities in them but let there be perfection in the creation.

i pray too for the spirit of joy and peace adn wisdom to be upon this baby. let this boy be a man of god.

the message that god brings to the people is

Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand (matthew 4)

as i read, i realise that this is the message of my mission too. the lord has led me to SIM for a purpose - a big purpose that god himself will bring to pass and this is the message to share with the youths.

i cannot understand how god's mission will be accomplished but lean not on my own understanding, in all my ways acknowledge god and he will make our paths straight. amen.

Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

there is one action that god will do for us - make us fishers of men. but we have 2 actions that we must make - Follow christ and leave our nets.

follow christ is to love and obey him first. how can you follow someone whom you do not love and trust?

to follow christ is to listen to his commands and to obey, it is also to imitate what jesus says and does.

first god invited us to follow him, then we decide to follow him.

leaving our nets in this context implies leaving our source of livelihood and depending on god.

are we relying on our income and job or on the provision of jehovah jireh?

teach us to rely on you, dear lord.

what did jesus do during his ministry?

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.

he taught the word of god, preached the gospel of god's kingdom and he healed.

what is the consequence of these actions?

he had great fame and Great multitudes followed Him.

in order to have young people following me, i must also teach the word of god which applies to them ( god gives me the wisdom to do it) and heal their diseases.

diseases refer not only to physical infirmities but also emotional mental ones. so the great jehovah rappha the healer will use me to bring comfort and healing to the broken hearted and lost all over asia.

amen.

not by my strength but by the power of god's spirit. amen.

prayer for ernest

i give thanks for the changes you have brought into ernes't life. i praise you that you have taught him to hand over the steering wheel to you. only god can bring about the change adn you awesome god has done it.

i pray that ern will continue to love and obey you will his whole heart and mind. let his self indentity be found in you alone. let him be a nobody in his own eyes so that he may be somebody in god's eyes.

let him decrease so that god may increase in his life.

i pray that joy and trust may fill his life , that his work may not be a chore, but a blessing from god.

bless the work of his hands and i thank you that you have indeed blessed the work of his hands in trading.

lord i pray for my children josef and deborah that they wil grow in deeper understanding of who you are. let them not be christians who grow up in a christian family who knows only the principles of the faith but not the giver of the faith.

i pray for jo and deb that they will know you, jesus. love you with their whole minds and hearts, that they may want to follow you cos they know that god is the best for them.

i ask that you seal their eternal future, that they will never be snatched away from your hands by satan. protect and strengthen them always in your power. thank you lord.

prayer for baby matthias

lord i thank you for baby and the good health we have been enjoying these few weeks. i have been eating so much that it amazes me.

i pray that good nutirents and vitamins will be absorbed by the growing baby and they will benefit him.

i pray for matthias' eyes, ears nose lips face hair. i pray that your blessings will be upon the formation of these organs and they will be perfect cos god their creator is perfect.

i pray for the spirit of peace and joy to fill mother and matthias even as we go through these 9 months of pregnancy together. let us be totally absored in you lord jesus.

are persecuted for righteousness’ sake

if we analyse the qualities, we discover that all are qualities of the heart. attitudes of the heart. to sum up, it is humility, purity and a desire to know god.



Promises

theirs is the kingdom of heaven

they shall be comforted

inherit the earth

shall be filled

obtain mercy

shall see God

called sons of God

the kingdom of heaven

if we look at the promises, we see that god does not promise us any tangible things. it starts and ends with the kingdom of heaven. in between it mentions the presence of god. in a nutshell, the presence of god is the blessing of god.

god's blessings may be in terms of the tangibles but it is the PRSENCE of god which is the greatest blessing of all.

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

how do we let our light shine before men? they must be able to see the good works. though we are saved by grace, the non believers need to see the good works with their eyes.

but once again, it is not to glorify ourselves but to glorify the lord who is in heaven.

prayer for ernest
lord jesus, i pray for ernest that he will put more emphasis on his health. i pray that he will understand that without health, there is nothing he can achieve. pour this wisdom into him dear lord, that he will take more care with his diet, rest and exercising.

dear lord
he claims that he does not want to bother too much with his work but i find that he has not been living up to it. i pray that you will help him to really put his burden at work on your palms. teach him not to worry about anything but in all things, to cast all worries unto you.

he has not been sleeping well and i ask that you will grant sleep to those whom you love. let him be a testimony of your peace and joy to the people around.

pray for josef and deborah (feeling loved and accepted)

i thank god that josef has grown to be more responsible recently. i ask that you continue to touch deborah and josef, that they may feel loved and accepted by their families, their teachers, schoolmates. take out the people who despise them, and if there are such people in their lives, teach them to be confident in who they are cos they have tasted the love and acceptance of their family and of god.

i pray that josef and deborah will also be vessels of your love to the people around them. pour your love into them so that they will be channels and rivers of your love to the ones around, including baby matthias.

plant them firmly in god's love for them. amen.

dear lord jesus, i need a lot of help with my lecture planning.i need both the speed and the resources. please empower me every step of the way.

give me wisdom on how to bring up my children in the fear and way of the lord. give me wisdom on how to be a supportive and loving wife to ernest.

prayer for baby matthias

i fear that baby matthias has down syndrome, autism etc. lord, you see the worry in my heart. recently i see so many of such cases and i worry that my baby is like this.

i don want a baby which has such natural defects. lord, i only want a perfect gift of a healthy baby from you.

i ask that you knead baby matthias into a healthy baby. that he may be sound mentally and emottionaly. that even now his brain cells are formed, i pray that the lord will create them beautifully the way you have created the earth.

i pray for a sound mind dear lord. i pray for the wisdom of god and the hand of god to be upon this baby matthias.

i lvoe this baby matthias even now he is only 1 cm. ha ha. it is a life in me and this life is from god.

prayer for dad in law

dear lord help me to see him thru your eyes. what irks me help me to respond in the way you would. i pray for the holy spirit to continue to work in his heart. the proud you know from afar but you have come for the sick and unhealthy. break his spirit so that he may know god.

prayer for a house

dear lord, this house is too small for my growing family. i pray that you will bless us with a bigger house that can more comfortable house my 3 children and guests. ernest and i would also like a place which is more conducive to our intimate life. in this house there is not even curtains to draw.

sigh. it is only a roof over our heads and i don like it dear lord.

i would like to have a house which is pretty - like the spring flowers on the hill. i like pretty things dear lord, not all things are just for practical usage.

i would also like to have a house which is airy and big, overlooking a stretch of beautiful natural scenery.

it should also be accessible to guests cos this house will be the house of god, a place where people can come to experience god's presence and blessings.

it should be purchased a a good price. i dun know what is a good price but you know dear lord.

bless us so that we can be a blessing to others. thank you dear lord.
