Apostolic faith affects others

pastor preached about apostolic faith affecting others.

how do i practice apos faith in my life?

by communing in god

but in my life i am distracted by so many things in life?

teach me jesus what it means to commune in you.

it is not about me rising up, it is about you raising me up in faith

teach me lord to commune in you

lord teach me to release my expectations to you

you are an almighty god yet you come down and raise us up

teach me to be the same

help me to be patient with those who are slow mentally, who never can seem to learn

teach me to be gracious

while i demand from myself teach me to give others space.

thank you lord

jesus i pray for my children that they will know and love you

they will know who you are and follow you all the days of their life

while i prepare them academically enable me to prepare them for life

use me to teach them what it means to walk this life with jesus

when i am gone may my children know how to walk with jesus

i put them in your hands and i pray that they will have an intensely personal relationship with you

let them live out their destiny in you dear jesus
use me lord to touch the many young lives that you have put into my path.

use me to reach out to them in love and truth

i plead the blood of christ over my family even as we desire to be used by you

i plead the blood of christ over our minds emotionw work studies. in the name of god protect us

i pray o lord that you will bless ph and my marriage

let there be more communication and open physical touch between us

let there be more affection between us

we are life partners and not simply work partners

let us travel this life in love and purpose.

bind us in your love and unite us in your love

i pray for the young ones who have shown interest in going to the missions carnival. i pray that you will open the door for the young children who have shown interest in going. open the door so that the young ones can go to church and even be ushered into your presence.

holy spirit touch them and from them raise up a generation of warriors who love and serve you

god wants us to hear and obey him

“If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”Exodus 15:25-27

Psalm 103:3Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases

Psalm 147:3He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds

.Isaiah 30:26Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, And the light of the sun will be sevenfold, As the light of seven days, In the day that the LORD binds up the bruise of His people And heals the stroke of their wound.

jesus loves us. he gives us freely his life. what does he expect of us? not our labour or works but as in exodus 15, our commitment to hear and obey his voice, to do what is right in his eyes. to know his commandments and obey them

in summary god wants us to hear and obey him. our obedience results in a righteous life before him and this pleases him.

god i pray for ph josef deborah matthias sister stef and me that we will be committed to hear your voice. still our spirits to hear your voice through your word and the holy spirit. teach us to obey you and do what is right in your eyes.

teach us too your commandments and we know them, let us obey them

jesus you have told me to pray more and i am going to pray according to the bible verses that i study. i think this is the most powerful way to engage in prayer.

teach me and lead me on in my prayer life lord

jesus not only heals us physically, he also heals our broken heart.

i pray for ph specifically in this area.

jesus i pray that you will heal the brokeness in ph heart. make it whole and tender once again. overflow with your love and tenderness.

father let ph relate with you as a father would with his son. he has never understood what it means to relate with you. he has always known as from a very intellectual point of view.

break through into his heart that intimacy may flow in and he may be healed.

you heal the broken hearted and bind up their wounds.

bind up the bruise in ph heart that he may feel once again. that he may have your heartbeat once again too.

in jesus name i pray

amen

Responding to my Shepherd Jesus

I did a short bible study on Jesus my shepherd

what is my response to him now that i know how he leads, protects and unites?

Lord Jesus, i respond to you in surrenderedness.

i want to give to you all because i know that you are the one who loves me the most - most completely and eternally

in your hands i place my life, my crowns and my dreams. make my life count for you my most worthy shepherd.

i am inspired by nic- how his life has touched millions - including mine.

lord use my life to touch many people around me as well. you have placed so many young people in my l ife. i don know how to touch or influence them. would you show me how and use me please?

jesus you spoke to me yesterday about praying and praying so that things can happen. i don know how to pray and pray too. please teach me how holy spirit.

this is my response to jesus my shepherd.

now i think of my family.

i realise that jesus is the ultimate one leading my family from place to place. He is the Shepherd Head and Puay hong is the shepherd boy. if ph is tired or 'out of action', let him be carried by Jesus in his bosom from place to place.

as for my children and I, jesus leads us gently.

jesus is also leading us from place to place, providing us all that we need.

how do we respond?

we respond in gratitude.

thank you jesus that you provide for us as we go from place to place.

i pray for josef who is taking his psle this year. i pray that you provide him with the motivation and discipline that he needs. bless his efforts and anoint him with the ability to focus, understand retain and apply.

lead him to the school that you know is best for him. bless him with the aggregate that will bring him there.

i pray for deborah that you will also lead her to the school that you know is best for her. show ph and i the way that we may know where to register her. we place great emphasis on their education, believing that an education changes a person's way of thinking.

for matthias too, show us if it is wise to continue to place him in cc. lead us along the way, jesus.

while we emphasise a lot on education, we believe that their love and knowledege for jesus is even more crucial.

i pray that my children's knowledge and love for you will incrase and they will know you as their saviour heavenly father and friend.

lord i place my children in your hands and i pray that you will lead them into their destiny in you.

amen.

Jesus the Shepherd

John 10:11-12New International Version (NIV)11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.

Isaiah 40:11New King James Version (NKJV)11 He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm,And carry them in His bosom,And gently lead those who are with young

.Hebrews 13:20New King James Version (NKJV)Benediction, Final Exhortation, Farewell20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

To maintain a large flock, however, the sheep must be able to move from pasture to pasture; this required the development of an occupation separate from that of the farmer. The duty of shepherds was to keep their flock intact and protect it from wolves and other predators. The shepherd was also to supervise the migration of the flock and ensured they made it to market areas in time for shearing.
From Wikipedia

As i read the explanation from Wiki and compare it to the verses. i realise that the the sheep and the shepherd are constantly on a journey from one place to another.

first the shepherd ensures that the sheep reach the destination he has in mind for them. He knows where they are going and he lead them there.

he knows the END point

he leads

how does he leads?

Is 40:11 tells us many things about how he leads.

first he feeds the lambs.

this means he provides for our needs.

second

'he gathers the lambs with his arms"

lambs are often weak. likely as they travel from pasture to pasture, they feel tired.

when we feel tired on the journey, jesus does not hurry or force us. Instead he let us rest, and he calls us to leave the walking to him.

during the journey, when we are weak, let us rest in jesus' mighty arms.

third he carries them in the bosom

the heart is often the most vital part of a human being.

once the heart stops, the life ends.

the bosom is where the heart is.

to carry the lamb , not on the shoulder, but in the bosom, shows the great importance the shepherd places on the sheep

'in' the bosom and 'not' at the bosom shows the shepherd's intimate relationship with the sheep.

second during the journedy the shepherd protects them from danger.

he protects

how does he protect?

he is willing to give up his life and jesus has shown it by shedding his blood on the cross.

his action earns him the name ' the great shepherd of the sheep'

this shepherd has an eternal covenant with us through his blood.

thirdly he ensures that the sheep travels together during the journey

this reinforces jesus' teaching on unity in church so that god's name can be glorified.

church is any group of believers.

he unites

Jehovah Raah - Shepherd

JEHOVAH-RAAH"Our Shepherd Who tenderly leads us, loves us and will keep us safe."

Feeder, keeper, companion, friend, pastor and herdsman.

even as i study the bible regarding the "Raah" aspect of my God, i pray that puay hong will experience god as jehovah raah - even as god has been shining light and doing surgery in his heart

may puay hong respond to god his heavenly father in love and relationship. may he relate with his heavenly father with an intimacy he never had with anyone in his life.

let there be a breakthrough in puay hong's life by the power and love and tenderness of the holy spirit.

John 10:11-12
New International Version (NIV)

Isaiah 40:11

Hebrews 13:20

Benediction, Final Exhortation, Farewell
20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

return again to the god as centre

individual's choice

i shared with god about my hope to see certain people rise up to what i think is their calling in life

i am greatly disappointed that certain people seem to be apathetic, passive and simply lacking in passion and direction

i shared with god my disappointment and he told me that everyone must make his own individual choice.

each has to decide in his heart what he wants to pursue in this life and how he wants to use his time

i must learn this principle.

even i must allow and be prepard to let my children make their own choices. i may be disappointed if they do not choose to love jesus but i must learn that this is a personal choice they make

what i can do is to pray for them - but ultimately, it is an issue between god and the individual.

i do not interfere.

one must learn to travel this path of life alone with god. we may have family and friends around us but ultimately, when we are pursuing our heart's desire, it is only god who will never fail us.

i lift up my eyes to the hills
where does my help come from ?

my help comes from the maker of the earth

who leads me along quiet streams and desert places?

it is the lord shepherd jesus.

alone i walk with him

he is my all in all

thus i am not alone
