Rvl 11- how do we measure up to god's glory?

The worshippers must be measured; whether they make God's glory their end, and his word their rule, in all their acts of worship. Those in the outer court, worship in a false manner, or with dissembling hearts, and will be found among his enemies.

We who work go through observations and probations at our workplace.

We who are God's children, deeply loved by god, often forget about our Redeemer's standards in his kingdom.

thus we lead a frivolous life in the eyes of christ.

ask myself this day: how do i measure up in the eyes of god? do i make god's glory my end and his word my rule? is all aspects of my life a worship unto him? or is it more a fulfillment of self interest?

ask myself today: am i in the inner court of god, where i abide in him or am i in the outer court, where i bear the name of christ but do not live out the glory and fragrance of christ?

the good news is: no matter what myanswer is, it is by the grace and power of god that we can live out the glory and fragrance of god. for in all things, it is not by our power or strength, it is by the spirit of god that all things are made possible.

holy spirit, live and work in us this day. draw us into the inner court. let our eyes be fixed on you not on the world.

i pray this speciallly for josef who is burdened with heavy load of schoolwork. i pray lord that you will cause his eyes and heart to be fixed on you. let you be first in his life and not school work.

draw him into your presence dear lord.

amen.
