the pharoah's heart is hardened. it reminds of my father in law. his heart seems to be hardened but lets just leave it to god.

i am unhappy about my wages. think that i am underpaid. i would like to move out too and i am waiting for ernest to settle down in his new chapter. god, please speak to him about the date so that he may set his heart and mind on it.

i pray for ernest that he may surrender his ego to you daily so that god may mould it to become one after his own heart.

dear god, sometimes i feels o xian at my workplace. i pray that you will grant me the joy as i go there. give me the vision and conviction dear god.

thank you god that deborah has settled down in school. i pray you will bless her time with her friends and teachers.

dear lord i pray that josef and deborah will know you , and not just know about you. bless them with a close relationship with you.

i pray for my interview tomorrow. i pray that you will bless it and may you open door for me. i am so disappointed that i am not teaching a module at xxx.

dear god
thank you for speaking to me. i was beginning to be unhappy about where i am now. what with the lower renumeration and some people's attitude there. i find it like being paid less for more work. i though of alternatives.

but yesterday god spoke ot me through a sermon "not to quit" - continue in what god has called you to do. i sensed in my heart that god was saying that the place was his ministry place for me.

this morning, from joseph's words:

“Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? 20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people [11] should be kept alive, as they are today. "

the word spoke to me again, saying that i am in the place of god -- the place god wants me to be at at this point of time.

well god i dun know why you want me to be there. but not my will but yours be done.

well god, i pray that you will bless me for my obedience. i will give my best in all that i do. i will honour your name there. and i pray that you will honour me in return.

dear god, you know my desire. i pray you will bring them to fruition in your own time.

dear god, since you are my boss, i believe that you will renumerate me in your own way and time. you will reward accordingly to what each has done.

in this i put my faith in you dear jesus.

joseph shows compassion and favour to his brothers, esp benjamin.

i am reminded of the article i read about bill and melinda gates. they intend to give away 95% of their wealth in their lifetime.

the epitomise the spirit of "from those who have more, more are expected.". they do not hoard their wealth and their giving is amazing.

how is this related to joseph?
joseph became influential and he also uses his wealth and power to help people.

i think that god has been trying to tell me that as ernest is stepping into a new chapter, god will bless him the way he has blessed abraham. ernest will be blessed in all areas, the way abraham has been blessed.

and in the same way the gates have been using their wealth to bless society, the sengs (ernest and rachael) will be using their wealth to bless people in the name of jesus christ.

the kingdom of god is like a pearl and hidden treasure.

before we pursue anything, god should always be our first priority. pursue the kingdom of heaven cos that is above all things.

dear god you see my desire to teach at the T level. i would like to place this desire into your hands and allow you to keep it. dear lord i must go on status quo now cos ernest is stepping out. i dun mind the status quo for the time being but not for many years. i am actually not developing much here i think. tho i am thankful ofr the colleagues i have met and students i have ministered to here. i guess that this is a huge ministry for me.

dear lord my dream is to teach part time at the t level and use the other time to pursue orphanage work and spend more time with my kids as well.

i desire too, dear lord, to set up an orphanages in asia. i put this dream in your hands and may you bring it to fruition in your time.

dear jesus, i pray for josef and deborah, that they may have a close relationship with you.

sower

the parable of the sower.

seeds that fall on good ground produced grain a hundred fold , some 60 some 30.

dear jesus, what is the decding factor of which seed produces more or less grain? it is not stated in the parable.

i think is the heart. the heart that wants to obey god. a heart that obeys god. a heart that seeks after god. a heart that does not hanker after worldly status and wealth.

o god
put our hearts in such soil and cause it to grow and flower.

joseph n deborah

joseph's father loved him more than other brothers and this caused them to find it difficult to talk peacefully to him.

we should not show favouritism. even if we love one more than the other, keep it in our hearts. if not , it will cause strife among the people.

joseph told the dream to the brothers and they become more jealous. we should always keep matters to ourselves if it is sth that shows that we are better than others. jealousy in an issue we should be sensitive about.

let us not exalt ourselves above others in actions or words, but let us consider others first, and jesus foremost above everything.

we should pray for a heart of humility and meekness. let not pride and arrogance enter our hearts dear jesus.

dear jesus, i lift up deborah to you. i am very concerned that she has been having nightmares these few nights. how has she been like in school? give me a vision and dream of what she experienced there so that i may understand. i am not there and she cannot talk. but she is manifesting in ways that disturbs me.

jesus should i pull her out of the school? in a way i think it is a waste cos the environment is cheerful and positive. i think it is better for her to be there in a group rather than at home with the maid and grandfather.

if she is to stay on dear jesus, i pray that you help us get her into a class which the teacher can be there at 8 am, to welcome little debbie. i do not want her to be passed around at such a young tender age.

if she is to pull out dear jesus, provide her with peers that she can interact with. peers around the neighbourhood. thank you jesus jehovah jireh. you provide for all our needs.

deborah has been a happy child. i pray that this joy will permeate even her dreams and sleep.

i notice that she did not have night mare on sat when she did not go to school.

lead us dear jesus, to the paths of peace and righteous ness, that even mei mei can prosper in thought and health .

bless and guard her dear lord. and even us as parents, give us wisdom and discernment on what to do.

dear joehovah jireh, reveal to puay hong when he wants to quit. give him a heart of assurance and faith even as he steps out. so that when he does, he does it joyfully and gratefully unto you.

dear jesus, he is fearful. assure him, like the way you assure joshua. be of good courage, do not fear for the lord is with ihm.

"If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.” -- this shows her faith in jesus


"crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David" - this shows their determination to get jesus to hear them, also their acknowledgement that they are unworthy of jesus healing touch.

“Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” -- their belief that god can do it for them.

"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
dear god, i am your labourer in the school you have placed me. there is a harvest field there. use me dear lord , to lead the lost sheep to you, the good shepherd. let the lost find their direction in you. let the harassed find the peace in you. let your salvation light shine in the school. let your presence be experienced there.

dear lord i pray that your name be exalted in my school. not me, but your name. for i am unimportant but you are the lord of lords.

dear jesus i pray for my parents that their throat be quickly healed. bless them with good health as they so desire. bless them with a close walk with you as they desire too.

today's chapter listed noah's generations.

from Canaan comes the cannanites. it will be interesting for me to know more about the history of canaanites. then i will be able to see how the deeds of their forefathers affect them.

this chapter also shows the importance of a father's blessings and curses for the children. noah cursed canaan and it came true.

this chapter also reminded me of the a first born's special status. the bible mentioned the first born of every father. other children are referred to as "other sons and daugthers".

suddenly i think that josef seng is very special.

we can write it as "rachael mothered josef and she has other son /daughter".

well the bible has never used mothered but i am the mother, so there is nothing wrong with it. the influence of a mother is great too.

i love you and good morning to you.

how do you feel today as you look at us? do we give you joy jesus?

god how do you feel when you see bhutto assasinated, the chaos in Sudan Iraq and Chad?

god have we become more and more lawless? when will you wipe us out the way you did in noah's time?

god my family love you. ernest, josef and deborah and me . we love you.

god, bless us with another child in your best time. god i wait for you.

bless our private life that we may enjoy it more together. help us to enjoy it. so far, it seems more like a small insignificant part of our lives. but i think it should be more celebrated right lord?

even as i work , i need your wisdom and discernment in relating with people and managing tasks. i pray for your power to work mightily in me. let your glory be shown and your name be exalted.

my dear father, i do not need a name for myself but i do desire your name be lifted up at the workplace and wherver i go.

may my work attitude and joy be apparent to all, and may them give glory to your name.

protect ern and me from satan's evil schemes. protect my whole family from his evil schemes. He prowl around like a lion waiting for sb to devour. enable all of us to resist him with the shield of faith the breastplate of righteousness.

i am awed by you lord. the clouds in the morning. they are magnificent. the human body you created -- is breathtaking.

generations

i love what god reveals to me today.

generations.

"These are the generations of noah. noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation."

today, i see that god took pain to tell us about noah's forefathers. from adam, came enoch and noah - both men famous for righteousness before god. one was taken by god and the other instructed by god to build an ark.

why are noah's generations listed in the chapter?

i think this ties in with deut 4:9

“Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children's children—

your children and your children's children are our generations after us.

what does god instruct us to do? to take care and keep our soul diligently.

the same way we study and exercise diligently, we keep our soul by living our lives according to god's word, meditating on it, praying and praising god.

i think we also flex our spiritual muscles when we evangelise to people. evangelism need not be thru words . it can be throung our lifestyle as well.

finally we must make them known to our children. this means we must explain what god has been speaking to and doing in our lives.

the way i explain current affairs to jo and deborah, in the same way i expl how god works in our lives.

god, help me and ern to live out deut 4:9, that we may please you and bring up future generations of godly people as well.

It is a good reminder of many things.

firstly, god told us eating veg and fruits should be a priority in our lives. cos in the very first place, he gave us veg and fruits as food. so that must be the best.

secondly, god rested from work on the 7th day. in this new year, we must also rest from our work on sunday. jo should not be studying on sunday as well.

god made a helper fit for adam. in the same way, god has allowed ernest and i to marry cos he thinks i am a helper fit for him.

god is very gracious and merciful to us women. though he said in genesis that he will multiply our pain in childbearing, he has shown mercy by giving us epdidural so that we do not feel any pain while childbearing.
