my first morning up early

good morning jesus! thank you for helping me wake up early in the morning! I am so happy that this is the first time i am able to do it during the hols.

it is so nice to be talking to you when everyone is asleep. the peace and quietness before the noise creeps in when everyone wakes up and all the tasks pile up.

dear jesus i thank you so much that you have given me the opportunity to work at SIM and UniSim. May your good will be done at these universities as you lead me to meet many people from different countries. let your ministry tent expand in the campuses dear Lord.

i love you jesus. i think you are Great and awesome. dear god, as i ran along the canal last morning, i am awed by the pink papery flowers that you create. it is amazing how all the trees flower at the same time, and when the flowers flit down to the ground, they create a soft carpet of pink on the floor. it is breathtaking. i can almost imagine that i am in japan durng the sakura season.

ha ha god, this is just an amaterish peom in writing a psalm but it expresses the song in my heart right now.

dear god, i thank you for providing the man to fix my car last thursday. isn't it amazing he was there to help me fix it and disappeared after that?

o god the ways you take care of us. it is amzaing.

i need to pray for my children.

god i pray that you will bring friends into their lives who will be a godly influence to them. take out those who are lazy, rude and arrogant. use friends to motivate them to work harder and to know you.

dear god, i thank you for ernest's job. bless the work of his hands and continue to show him how small he is in your presence. show him how small he is in the presence of an infinite god. help him to understand that there is nothing to boast about and also help him to be excited about tappping on an awesome god.

dear god, thank you for helping me with my lecture planning. i need all your help - like the way you helped me thru marking the TMAs when i had no mentors and was even wondering how much i understood the question myself!

bless me with resources and speed and creative ideas to make the lecture interesting. this is my first time and again i am pretty much on my own. help me to do an excellent job and make me at the top, not the tail please. thank you.

i pray for your glory to descend upon the household. though it is small and humble, you always use the small and humble for your work and glory.

i pray for angels to guard every corner of the house, the fire of the holy spirit to surround the house. i ask for the spirit of peace and joy to saturate the house. may the joy of god be evident here. may the songs of god always be heard here.

i pray for dad in law that he may be blessed with 5 more years of living. the doc say 1 year but i ask that you multiply it. let him see the 3rd grandchild grow to a toddler at least dear god. but most of all i pray that he may receive you soon.

talking about the 3rd grandchild, i think that god spoke to me that he is going to give the child to me on my 35 birthday and the child's name shall mean "God's gift".

i am not too sure whether that was my imagination or god's word to me so i shall keep mum about it till the word is fulfilled - if i heard correctly.

but i am still excited nevertheless.

dear god i pray that you will bless me with a healthy child whose heart is for god and for his parents. i do not mind whether it is a boy or girl but i pray that she will be one after your heart and ours.

i pray for a child with no defects. let him be healthy from head to toe. thank you that josef and deborah are bright kids. let the child be the brightest of them all. but most importanly, let him be healthy. let him come at a best time dear god.

i learn that we should never do that. god is a jealous god and he does not like it.

god teach me to give all glory to you - from my heart - take nothing for myself. let me fully acknowledge that all talents and abilitities are gifts from you.

i am fearful of god's judgement. david must suffer for his sins and god ask him to choose one punishment. none of the punishment is desirable.

nor will I offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God with that which costs me nothing.”

what can i offer to god that will cost something? well i take it that do not give to god what is unimportant to you and what you do not want.

it is the same way i teach my children not to give me something they do not want - i will not accept it.
