we are just like dust... am reminded that..
"lord teach us to number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom"
what is the relation between the action and consequence? well when we number our days we realise what are the really important things, what are temporal and eternal. We will start to prioritise and live our lives more purposefully.... i think this is how we will gain our heart of wisdom.
god of wisdom, give ernest and i the wisdom to lead our lives, to bring up our kids and to pursue the goals which we pray are in line with your perfect will for our lives.

A thousand years to God is like a day. We blossom by noon but by night we are all faded.
Many live their lives day after day pursuing after things that Jesus said that will rust. The kingdom of God is about rooting our foundation in the matters of God. He who hears my words is like a person who builds his house on rock.
Ask, therefore, what are we building our lives towards, what are we rooting ourselves into..
