humble ourselves
He set to work resolutely and built up all the wall that was broken down and raised towers upon it, [1] and outside it he built another wall, and he strengthened the Millo in the city of David. He also made weapons and shields in abundance.
he did to the best of his ability what he could do. Trusting in god does not mean just lying there and doing nothing.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or dismayed before the king of Assyria and all the horde that is with him, for there are more with us than with him. 8 With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.”
king hezekiah have faith in god that He will help them. I am encouraged by his example, that while we pray and trust in god, we must do whatever we can within our ability to lead our lives wisely.
But Hezekiah did not make return according to the benefit done to him, for his heart was proud. Therefore wrath came upon him and Judah and Jerusalem. 26 But Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
god detests proud hearts. we should always be humble, realising that all comes from god and all glory goes to him. pride and lies are some stuff god hates most.
may lies and pride be kept out from my and my family's lives. amen.

Indeed, King Hezekiah did a lot of things for the Lord. Despite that, God still hate the pride that is in his heart.
